About the Journal

Focus and Scope

The International Journal of Dream Research is a web-based international outlet for original research articles in the field of dream research and psychological aspects of sleep. Topics like dream recall, dream content, nightmares, lucid dreaming, dreaming in children and psychological aspects of sleep in general are included. In addition to empirical papers, comprehensive reviews and book/media reviews are also encouraged.

Peer Review Process

Submitted manuscripts (original articles and brief reports) will be checked by the editor with respect to the aims, scope and formatting guidelines of IJoDR.

If the manuscript meets the requirements the editor will sent the manuscript to (at least) two qualified referees for review. Reviewers are selected from a pool of experienced peers in the field of dream research or associated academic fields.

The reviewers are typically not blind regarding the authorship of the manuscript. On special request, blind review of the submitted manuscript can be offered.

The editor's decision to accept or reject a paper, based on referees' comments is final.

Invited Essays, Invited Commentary, Book/Media Reviews, Conference Abstracts and Editorial will be published by editor's decision alone, no peer review process is applied.
