Abstract

The relationship between academic performance, attention, and nightmare frequency was investigated among a sample of 130 university students. The results indicated that nightmare frequency was significantly related to attention and perceived academic performance, but not objective academic performance. Attention was also not significantly related to objective academic performance. A regression analysis revealed that attention mediated the relationship between nightmares and perceived academic performance. The results and suggestions for future research were discussed.
