Necropola tumulară Bălăbani - II

Abstract

The cemctery from Bălăbăni (The Republic of Moldova) contained 25 barrows; 18 of them were researched between 1971-1972 and 7 in 1984. The seven barrows were considered to be a special group called Bălăbăni-II. They contain inhumation graves belonging to the following cultures. Jamnaja (barrows 2, 3 and 4), Sabatinovka (barrows 3, 5), „Mnogovalikovaja” (barrows 5, 6,1) and to the Turanian nomads from the beginning of the Middle Ages (barrows 1, 4, 5 and 6).
