Abstract

Research data management plays a pivotal role in modern research, making its integration as a fundamental component of the research process essential. In line with the mission of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI), NFDI4Objects works with both national and international partners to establish the necessary conditions for legally compliant, interoperable, and sustainable data infrastructures. To achieve this objective, NFDI4Objects is committed to creating a nationwide service offering and promoting the professional management and collaborative use of research data. Simultaneously, NFDI4Objects strengthens data management skills and fosters the development of new career paths. Through these efforts, NFDI4Objects encourages the creation and maintenance of data and software, ensuring they are recognized as scientific achievements. In doing so, NFDI4Objects contributes significantly to enhancing the transparency and quality of scientific work. A key priority is the active involvement of the research community to build acceptance for our work, making it standard practice for researchers to integrate good data management early in the research process and recognize its value for scientific advancement.
