Abstract

The Exchange of stonetools can be examined in different ways. In this article, the  transport is in the focus. The distance and the weight of the artefacts made  from a raw material of known origin are taken for the calculation of the effort of  transport. This allows comparing the effort for the transport of different imported  materials and different types of artefacts. Examples of sites are taken from Hesse, Germany.
