Abstract

This paper describes the process of using ontologies to structure digital archaeological datasets for publication on the Semantic Web. Open Data, Linked Data and the Semantic Web are all introduced and explained before the paper proceeds to discuss how the CIDOC CRM and its English Heritage archaeological data extension were used to model the data of the Priniatikos Pyrgos archaeological project in East Crete.
