Abstract

Archaeological examinations of latrines mainly produce finds belonging to the sphere "kitchen and nourishment". Archaeobotanical investigations of latrine-fillings focus on the vegetable aspect of the diet. The article discusses the possibilities of pollenanalysis which are demonstrated by an example of a latrine filled in the 16th Century AD.
