Abstract

Those who visit a flea market can sometimes notice an abnormal situation. Archaeological objects may be sold alone or beneath things from an everyday life that is not so far away in time although such actions prevent scientific research and public access. Automatically one may ask if that’s a legal action. This article wants to give assistance for such situations and it will also react to the topic of the conference ‘Jenseits von Palmyra. Kulturgüterschutz in der Lehre’.
