Abstract

This paper is the introduction to the volume Nomina Omina. Detecting and Preserving Ancient Greek and Latin Proper Names in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, which collects the proceedings of a workshop held at Leipzig University in June 2024, thanks to the support of the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft). This introduction outlines the goals and contributions of the workshop and the volume.
