Abstract
For real-time simulations of stiff models on electronic control units, one important ingredient is to reduce computation time within differentiation of the right-hand side of the underlying differential equation. A sparsing method represents a powerful tool in this context. For a reliable use of a real-time simulation of a stiff model in safety-critical conditions, it is important to be able to detect, when sparsing leads to an improper influence on the considered system. In this work we propose an extension which aims at addressing this numerically challenging problem in the context of real-time simulation.Statistics
