Selbstermächtigung: Spaltung der Gesellschaft durch Misstrauen

Abstract

For people to live together in a community, both formal and informal rules are necessary. But what happens when people do not (or no longer) feel bound by rules for overriding reasons, disregard them and thus divide the community? Using the example of the protests against Corona measures, among others, scientists from Heidelberg from the fields of psychology, law and political science get to the bottom of the reasons, the consequences and the extent of so-called social self-empowerment and discuss possible countermeasures.
