Germania : Anzeiger der Römisch-Germanischen Kommission des Deutschen Archäologischen Instituts
About the Journal
The journal “Germania. Anzeiger der Römisch-Germanischen Kommission des Deutschen Archäologischen Instituts” is published since 1917 by the Romano-Germanic Commission. Its predecessor was the Römisch-germanische Korrespondenzblatt: Nachrichten für römisch-germanische Altertumsforschung, edited by Prof. Dr Emil Krüger, then director of the Provincial Museum in Trier.
The journal continues to feature reports on excavations, research articles and studies, discussion papers, and an extensive review section. The contributions are printed in German, English, and French and are subject to a peer review process. They cover topics ranging from the Stone Ages to the Middle Ages and from specialist historical articles to scientific studies. The geographical focus is on Europe, from Scandinavia and the British Isles in the north to the Balkans and the Black Sea in the south.
In addition to the print edition, available from Reichert Verlag, Wiesbaden, we provide open access to those articles that have been approved for online publication by the authors, including retro-digitalisation. Our goal is to make the contents of all volumes freely accessible as completely as possible.
