Special Series 3: Policy Briefs on Spanish in Europe
The papers in this section are the outcome of a Workshop on Policy Briefs addressing Spanish-speaking populations in Europe, their characteristics, and needs. Researchers from 10 universities across Germany, Italy, Romania, Spain, and the UK participated, along with representatives from the Instituto Cervantes Berlin and the Spanish government’s Dirección General del Español en el Mundo. The workshop was funded by Heidelberg University’s Field of Focus 3: Cultural Dynamics in Globalized Worlds, within the framework of the Excellence Strategy put forth by the German federal and state governments.
