In this article Reinhard Lamp gives an extensive analysis and interpretation of the brass plate of Thomas Brounflet, d. 31.12.1430, a high dignitary of four successive kings of England. The focus is on the language and style of the inscription, which shows an unusual choice of words and a highly complicated, interwoven rhyme scheme.
