Reinhard Lamp (Hamburg) offers a detailed description, analysis and interpretation of a sepulchral brass with Latin inscriptions from Berkshire, UK. Starting from the rubbing of the brass, the author explains the graphical and linguistic difficulties of the 15th c. inscriptions and depicts the stylistic composition of the text in its historical context.
