Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Beiträge für die „Jahresschrift für mitteldeutsche Vorgeschichte“ können in deutscher oder englischer Sprache eingereicht werden.
Die Zitierrichtlinien orientieren sich im Wesentlichen an den Vorgaben der „Berichte der Römisch-Germanischen Kommission“, Band 71, 1990. Maßgeblich für die „Jahresschrift“ ist dabei die sog. naturwissenschaftliche Zitierweise. Periodika werden nach der Liste in derselben Zeitschrift (Ber. RGK 73, 1992) abgekürzt.
Die „Richtlinien für Publikationen des Landesamtes für Denkmalpflege und Archäologie Sachsen-Anhalt (LDA)“ sowie die „Zeichenrichtlinien des Landesamtes für Denkmalpflege und Archäologie Sachsen-Anhalt (LDA)“ sind für Autoren verbindlich.
Es können nur Beiträge angenommen werden, die den stilistischen und bibliografischen Vorgaben der „Richtlinien“ entsprechen.

Die postalische Anschrift des Autors findet sich am Ende des jeweiligen Beitrages. Seit Band 96, 2017, ist die Angabe der E-Mail-Anschrift verpflichtend, insofern vom Autor kein Widerspruch erfolgt.
