Our service

Publish your own e-journal open access

This service is intended for scholars of Heidelberg University. For international scholars, we provide corresponding services in the following fields of studies: history of art via arthistoricum.net, classical studies via Propylaeum and South Asian studies via CrossAsia.

The service is based on the software Open Journal Systems (OJS). The internationally established e-journal publication and management system was developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP), an US-Canadian research organisation. The open source software covers the entire editorial workflow of an e-journal and is available in numerous languages. It enables an efficient journal management, a differentiated organisation as well as a clear division of roles and functions within the publication process. In addition, the programme can be individualised through various plug-ins, such as reading tools, metadata management or statistic plug-ins.
