Mould, tracing and stencil

The text deals with various methods of transmitting preparatory drawings to the priming. Another subject is the ornamentation of textiles in painting at about 1500. The study is based on examinations dedicated to the triptych of St. Mary, a work by the Master of the Saint Ursula Legend from the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister Dresden, and of drawings from the Kupferstich-Kabinett Dresden. The findings are supported by written sources and models painted by the author.
