About the Journal

Conserva – VDR Beiträge zur Erhaltung von Kunst- und Kulturgut has been published twice a year in open access since autumn 2022. It offers (scientific) papers, conference reports and reviews on all areas of conservation as well as the study of historical artefacts and techniques.

The "Beiträge zur Erhaltung von Kunst und Kulturgut" were published from issue 1/2003 to issue 1/2022 in printed form, from 2/2013 also hybrid as print edition and in digital format. From then on, only VDR members received the journal free of charge in digital format as part of their association membership; print editions were available for a fee.
