Corrosion processes in hollow glasses of the 17th and 18th centuries
The State Palaces and Gardens of Baden-Württemberg, together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicate Research ISC and the Art Collections of the Veste Coburg, initiated a research project to better understand the corrosion processes in modern hollow glass as well as their naming and documentation. The research work of the project took place in the period from October 2014 to April 2019. The results of the research and its findings will be incorporated and published in a glass corrosion-atlas with visual documentation of the condition.
