Abstract

The Stuttgart Colloquium focused on the restoration and conservation of silver objects. This overview of all the contributions summarises tendencies andresults from the area of mechanical surface treatment, of silver reduction by electrolysis and atmospheric pressure plasma, of silver corrosion and corrosion protection. The current basis of decision-making and points of view on conservation ethics are also discussed.
