The Restoration of Mould-Damaged Colour Slides of Ed Van Der Elskens’ in the Nederlands Fotomuseum | Part 2
The Nederlands Fotomuseum’s restoration project round the colour slides of photographer Ed van der Elskens has already been presented in vol. 2/2016 of this journal. After discussing the problems and the history of this project, the topic is now the execution in practice. The cleaning method developed at the Fotomuseum, the disinfection and conservation of the mould contaminated slides are discussed as well as their modification for a suitable workflow of the mass treatment.
