Abstract

Prof. Dr. Friedrich Frischknecht (Infectiology), Prof. Dr. Stefanie Gänger (Modern History) and Prof. Dr. Ulrich Schwarz (Theoretical Biophysics) reflect on the results of their fellowships within the period from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022. Within the project “System fever: On the effect of malaria, Covid-19, and other febrile diseases”, the three fellows have worked on historical as well as contemporary approaches to explaining, preventing and curing “fevers” as well as on societal reactions, especially to epidemically occurring “febrile diseases”.
