    The latest issue of »Francia-Recensio« contains 87 reviews spanning the Middle Ages, the early modern period, and contemporary history.

    All reviews are provided with a DOI, which is recommended for each text as a reliable and permanent form of citation.

    All issues of the review journal are also available on perspectivia.net.

    The list of received review copies was previously printed on an annual basis in the journal »Francia«. From now on, it will only be published in digital form and at shorter intervals on the »Francia-Recensio« review portal.

About the Journal

»Francia-Recensio« is an online review journal published four times a year by the German Historical Institute Paris. It reviews – in German, French and English – works on the history of Western Europe.

Each historical period has its own editor, responsible for selecting the works to be reviewed and the reviewers, and for the editorial supervision of the reviews. In its mediating role, the Editorial team seeks to ensure that each work is reviewed in a different language from that in which it is written.

»Francia-Recensio« emerged in 2008 from the review section of the journal »Francia. Forschungen zur westeuropäischen Geschichte«. All individual reviews are provided with a DOI as a permanent citation.

Each issue, containing around 100 reviews, is available on perspectivia.net and recensio.net.

Readers can subscribe to our RSS-Feed to be notified when each issue appears.

Earlier issues (2008-2017) of »Francia-Recensio« are available on the Internet platform perspectivia.net. 

Published reviews are the sole responsibility of their authors.
