Abstract

The aim of the essay is to present the project of applied intercultural philosophy "Letters on Philosophy Worldwide". The article is divided into four parts. In the first section, the occasion and profile of the project are presented. The "academic nomadism" of the present day reinforces the always intercultural constitution of academic practice and represents the life-world occasion of the project to reflect on this in the form of letters about the various conditions of philosophising. In the second section, we will ask in more detail about experiences that are expressed in the letters and which we would like to describe and define more precisely as "intercultural experiences". The theme of the third section is the chosen form of representation for such intercultural experiences, namely the letter form as a medium for perspective. Finally, in the fourth section we will attempt to profile the project as a form of applied intercultural philosophy.
