Abstract

In intercultural philosophy as well as in philosophising with children, the subject areas or concepts of place, space and world play a significant role. An important basic assumption here is that the place is of fundamental importance for philosophising - for all philosophising. It is from here that the space for shaping the world opens up. If one starts out from a fundamentally active understanding of philosophy when locating philosophy, then philosophy in the sense of philosophizing means above all taking place in a communally shared and ideally open space. The place from which intercultural or children's philosophising takes place thus appears precisely at the moment when the philo¬sophical polylogue takes place. This description is intended to highlight the constitutive eventfulness of the inter-space. This contribution will focus on this taking place.
