About the Journal

The Archäologisches Korrespondenzblatt (AK) was founded in 1972 by the Römisch-Germanisches Zentralmuseum as a forum for scientific exchange on new results in the field of archaeology. In order to meet the requirements of the changing publication market for direct, free, public access, the journal will be published in Diamond Open Access from 2023, so all articles will appear without delay under the Creative Commons CC-BY licence. There are no publication costs for the authors. Print editions are offered on a subscription basis. Print editions are offered on a subscription basis.
After the renaming of the RGZM on 1.1.2023, the LEIZA (Leibniz-Zentrum für Archäologie) is now the publisher of the journal.
