Archäologisches Korrespondenzblatt
About the Journal
The journal "Archäologisches Korrespondenzblatt" was launched in 1972 by the Römisch-Germanisches Zentralmuseum as a forum for scientific exchange on new findings in the field of archaeology. In order to meet the requirements of the changing publication market for direct, free, public access, the journal was published in Diamond Open Access from 2023, making all articles available online without delay under the Creative Commons licence CC-BY. After the RGZM was renamed on 1 January 2023, the journal was published by the LEIZA (Leibniz-Zentrum für Archäologie). The strategic expansion of LEIZA to include the former Centre for Baltic and Scandinavian Archaeology (ZBSA) resulted in new priorities, one of which is the introduction of a new journal.
The journal was discontinued with the publication of the 2024 volume.
