Abstract
In this article, I consider the spatial construction of Osvaldo Lamborghini’s writing as a perforated sphere in which atopological, unclassifiable characters move and generate conflicts regarding belonging and positionality. The characters go in and out of these spheres, producing a dynamic that is characterized by violent sexual jouissance. Through this mobility, a Sadean imaginary is revealed. Said imaginary returns through the temporality of Lamborghini´s writing to delay the beginning of the end of (modern) literature. Nonetheless, Sade also works as a cultural matrix that produces literary fiction in Argentina and, because of its “unspecific complexity”, as an ambivalent ghost regarding aesthetic autonomy. In this sense, the Sadean element becomes in itself unclassifiable and atopological in Lamborghini´s writing, as well as in its eventual developments in Argentine culture.
