Abstract

This volume asks whether there is a particular method of intercultural philosophising and how an intercultural attitude can be realised or is realised concretely. In this way, these texts counter a desideratum that has been formulated again and again over the past decades. The fact that this panorama includes contributions that examine orthodox, i.e. culture-specific, forms of philosophising and those that start from placeless methodological questions, but that the entanglement of culture and method is recognised on both sides, points to the fundamental necessity of always treating the subject and approach together. This applies not only to philosophy but to all humanities.
