«The Passion of Freemen»: Towards a Nashist Aesthetics
Identifier (Artikel)
Abstract
In «The Passion of Freemen: Deserting Far-Right Art», we probe a recent rightward shift in contemporary art, focusing on the role of far-right curators who are shaping a counter-narrative of the ‹political artist›. Our study centers on the double-exhibition «Political Art» in Denmark and Poland, an initiative organized through the anti-censorship art network, ‹Passion for Freedom›. We discuss the curatorial methods behind the exhibitions in order to theorize the congruent Artist-Subject.
