Abstract

Anthroposophic Period of Stanisław Stückgold

The paper recalls two statements of Russian artists: symbolist and anthroposophist Andrei Bely and Maximilian Voloshin, symbolist and well-wisher of the anthroposophy, about the Polish painter Stanisław Stückgold. The specific tone and ambiguity in the evaluation of Stückgold's creative activities that emerge from these memories encourage us to ask about the historical perspective, about the time in which they were spoken. Well, Stückgold's period of anthroposophic­ activity is still little explored, the reason for which is primarily the very small amount of materials left from this period. Therefore, every memory and every mention supplement this gap. This paper also serves this purpose giving new details from Stückgold's anthroposophic path.
