Ein Aufnahmesystem zur siedlungsarchäologischen Erfassung am Beispiel des alpinen Bereiches. Ein Beitrag zur Analyse historischer und prähistorischer Raumnutzungskonzepte

Abstract

It is only when archaeological findings are seen in connection with their geographica! relations as a functional unit that detailed information on settlement history can be obtained. The recording System presented below for capturing settlement history in the Alpine region was created out of the necessity to relate the findings of the Mesolithic site at the Ullafelsen rock (Stubai Alps, Tyrol)
to their ecological and economic environment in a systematic way. The authors considered it important not to limit the capabilities of the recording System to prehistoric findings so that general questions of settlement archaeology in the high mountain region could be addressed as well.
