The hoard from the Late Bronze Age at l’Étang, commune of Saint-Germain-sur-Vienne (dép. Indre-et-Loire)

Abstract

The hoard at Saint-Germain-sur-Vienne has revealed looped palstaves, winged axes, socketed axes, gouges, hog’s-back knives, swords and spearheads of Atlantic type, bracelets of the Homburg, Vaudrevanges and Le Boiron types, fragments of wagons and a bronze core for a socketed axe mould. This hoard belongs to the Late Bronze Age and can be compared with those of Azay-le-Rideau and Mougon (Triou).
