Abstract
For the Early Iron Age large numbers of contacts between distant regions are known of. Often the communicated elements are elsewhere incorporated in a local craft tradition, making it difficult to identify them at first sight. This might be the case for several pottery objects from the Hallstatt cemeteries Rottenburg »Lindele« and Tübingen »Geigerle«. A number of vessels clearly locally produced are decorated in a style which is related to the East Hallstatt culture. It is likely that they are either copies of foreign pieces or products of an immigrated potter.
