Abstract

In 2007 a site of the Linear Pottery culture has been excavated in »Friedberg B3a km 19« in the Wetterau and the associated pottery allowed detailed interpretations concerning the stylistic development during the phases of the Linear Pottery culture, the relative chronological order of the place and even the chronology of the settlement processes. Using correspondence analysis it was possible to differentiate five houses and several posthole-groups which underwent about seven phases beginning with the early Middle Linear Pottery culture and ending up with its very final stage. No transition to the Middle Neolithic cultures has been determined.
