Abstract

Towards the end of the cultural development of the Bandkeramik, the Šárka type emerged in Bohemia as an expression of social change. An element of this new style, namely glue decorated pottery, is distributed far beyond the area of the Šárka group. In this contribution, fragments of Bandkeramik decorated with triangular inlays from Rovantsi in Volhynia (Ukraine) and Tiefbrunn in Upper Palatinate (Bavaria) are presented. These far-reaching cultural ties are a cross-group element of Bandkeramik unity in a period of developing regional styles.
