Or After All? Addendum to the Plumb-bob of a Military mensor/librator in Cologne

In AK 4/2020 we published a bronze plumb-bob with a punched inscription found in Cologne. In AK 2/2021 W. Eck and M. A. Speidel critically reviewed our reading and interpretation and put forward an alternative reading. This is certainly possible, but hypothetical, because the decisive additions do not correspond in any secure way. Also, the intervals of the points, stems and the two names favour our suggested reading > IVDEAII / LEVBONI. We consider the name of the centurion Iudeaius to be a variant or a writing error for Iudaeus.
