Abstract

Considering a Lost Type of Helmet from the Hallstatt Period

The question of the impact of Greek influence on the warrior-groups of the Caput Adriae is discussed in the light of a newly recognized type of helmet in the north-western Balkans. This type of helmet reflects picks up the archetype of the »Illyrian helmets« and transfers it to the south-eastern Alpine region, to the Venetian region and to the central Picenum.
