Abstract

The following article deals with the question of the change of contact teaching to a concept of digital teaching at the International Study Centre of the University of Heidelberg due to the Corona Pandemic. The article focuses on technical and didactical issues regarding online teaching, in consideration of the special compound of the study groups, consisting of international students and non-native speakers. It emphasises the challenges of digital teaching before the start of the summer term 2020, their practical implementation as part of the language courses and the specifics of the International Study Centre.
