Barbara Gross worked for almost forty years to increase the visibility of women in the art market, first as a publisher of art editions since 1981 and then as a gallerist in Munich since 1988. sediment 33 focuses on the period from the beginning of Barbara Gross’s multifaceted mediation activities to the late 1990s. The gallery’s programme is presented on the basis of collaborations with artists, most of which have lasted for decades, as well as selected projects. In addition, two contemporary witnesses shed light on her work from the perspective of the museum and journalism. Finally, statements by artists, curators, collectors, and colleagues who have been associated with Barbara Gross provide personal perspectives.
