Abstract
The circulation of different archaeological artefacts frequently reflects the manner in which a wide variety of communities used to communicate. The distribution of amphora-shaped glass and coral beads at the beginning of the Late Iron Age provides a relevant example. The analysis of these artefacts indicates that they came from Mediterranean workshops, subsequently being distributed across the Carpathian Basin through social contacts established between different groups and communities. The practice of exogamy was an important factor in the inter-community exchange of such cultural goods.
