An Early La Tène Chariot Burial on the Petrisberg in Trier

A chariot burial was detected in Trier above the Moselle valley in a topographically exposed position. The new find together with former observations form the basis for a rather satisfying reconstruction of the early La Tène chariot. The openwork decoration of an associated iron fitting represents a formation phase of the Early La Tène style. The burial was associated with a contemporary settlement nearby.
