Identifiers (Article)
Abstract
On the death of Jürgen Weiner, the world of prehistory has lost an archaeologist with a catching and indefatigable passion
for his field. Long after his death, he will be remembered as an eminent authority on mining and water supply in the Neolithic period, as a
specialist in Neolithic tools, weapons and technologies, and as an expert on raw silex material (Jura hornstone and chalk flint), firemaking
and experimental archaeology. This article characterises all the aspects of Jürgen Weiner‘s scientific heritage and presents a complete
