Vom Merzbachtal in die Graetheide? - Die Synchronisation der niederländischen Bandkeramik mit der Aldenhovener Platte am Beispiel der Siedlung und des Gräberfeldes von Elsloo

Abstract

The goal of this article is to compare the demographic development of two Bandkeramik key areas in Central Europe, the Dutch Graetheide Region and the Aldenhovener Platte of the Lower Rhine Basin. Based on the demographic data of settlements and graveyards the hypothesis of population movements from the Aldenhovener Platte towards the Graetheide at the end of the Bandkeramik will be discussed.
