Abstract
How can archaeologists exert political influence? This paper reviews and compares approaches involving advocacy, including the preferred models of both the European Association of Archaeologists (EAA) and the Society for American Archaeology (SAA) and lobbying. Lobbying is a technical, specific professional approach, and the paper introduces the routes to formal lobbying of the European Commission.
