Archäologie am Abgrund – Abgründe der Archäologie: Menschenregierungskünste zwischen Prekarisierung und Selbstausbeutung

Abstract

In this article, the relationship between precarisation and self-exploitation will be examined. To this end, I will address more theoretical aspects from the perspective of a volunteer member of the AG Theorien in der Archäologie (TidA). The aim is to point out the connections between various societal developments and the role of science/humanities – and here archaeology in particular. This should initiate possible further discussions in order to be able to reflect on seemingly simple demands and solutions, such as more money for work done, professional associations, etc., against the background of societal developments.
