Abstract
The project "Multiprofessional and Interdisciplinary Wound Management" addresses the necessity of interprofessional collaboration in healthcare, enhancing the competencies of physicians from various disciplines, nurses, and wound care specialists. It combines theo-retical input, practical simulations, and interactive case discussions to foster key skills such as communication, the understanding of one’s own role, and teamwork. A particular focus is placed on realistic exercises, enabling participants to develop interdisciplinary solutions for complex wound management cases. The project bridges existing gaps in medical education by creating opportunities for interprofessional learning, thus improving pa-tient safety and satisfaction. Learning-objective-oriented planning and the use of interac-tive learning methods contributed significantly to a successful implementation that actively promoted student learning. The project exemplifies how interprofessional education can enhance the quality of medical training and advance modern, patient-centered healthcare.
