New findings on the Roman cornu. The evidence of a specimen in private hands

Abstract

The interdisciplinary analysis of a Roman cornu in a private collection provides new information on the making and use of this musical instrument. The article presents the problems of identification and terminology, as well as the issues of the other known finds of Roman cornua.
