Abstract

It’s difficult to achieve a good balance between career and family. Sometimes you have to do one step after the other. Online training during parental leave of absence is useful to get well prepared back to the job, for example in Geographic Information-Systems (GIS).
Because a GIS enables geospatial collection, management, analysis and visualisation of comprehensive data records, it is especially well suited for digital processing of excavation documentation. Access to the data is optimised and information from different data resources can be integrated and analysed collectively. Valuable originals are spared and saved as a result.
