Gegenwärtige Vergangenheit für eine bessere Welt – lebendige Vermittlung der Antike in Projekten der Ancient Art Company

Abstract

The Ancient Art Company (AAC) is an open cooperation of archeologists and artists with the goal to convey the prehistory and ancient world in a lively and sensual manner. The following article is an introduction to our methods (school of senses, gender consciousness, peace work and others) as well as to the effect of our efforts combining science and museum pedagogics with a training of mindfulness. Appropriate examples of our work (like time visualisation or mummification workshop) round up the picture and invite the reader to get inspired. The author of this article was invited to the Egyptian Museum in Kairo to design concepts for the children‘s programm and has developed during her career courses like „War and Peace“ or „The Power of Money“. Her work aims to honor our heritage and to contribute to a sustainable future.
